Who am I? What is my Biblical Identity?

By Daniel W. Trathen, D. Min. Ph. D.

It is not uncommon today for people to be talking about having a positive self-esteem. In fact, for many, it is almost likened to a “personal right”. The effects of Western culture and living in a postmodern world has produced a society where “happiness” and “tolerence” appear to be the only absolute values. More choices and less absolutes have helped to produce a morally drifting society and entitled sense of self. The Bible provides a spiritual structure in helping us understand who were are and what we are meant to be as Children of the King.
